Frequently Asked Questions

Do you need experience to go horseback riding on a trail ride?

No. Beginners are welcome, and first-time riders receive basic instruction with a demonstration before the ride starts. The pace stays gentle, and guides remain with the group on the trail, so you are not left to figure things out alone. You can also check out our blog for some beginner’s tips: The Top 10 Horseback Riding Tips for Beginners.

What should you wear for a horseback trail ride?

Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothes that are easy to move in, along with closed-toe shoes such as sneakers or lightweight boots. Many guests also like bringing sunscreen, insect repellent, and water for extra comfort. If you prefer to wear a helmet, bring your own. The goal is to stay practical, comfortable, and ready to enjoy the ride without overthinking the outfit.

Are horseback trail rides suitable for families and first-time riders?

Yes. These rides are designed for everyday guests, not expert equestrians, so families and first-time riders are a great fit. Riders must be 5 or older, and children ride their own horse rather than doubling with an adult. With a relaxed pace, gentle horses, and guide support throughout, families can enjoy a real outdoor adventure that still feels safe and manageable.
